MARCUS RASHFORD is ready for a clash with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos team to reach the end of their difficult season.

The striker’s form dipped and he cut a dejected figure at Old Trafford.

United are now willing to listen to offers worth more than £80m.

Rashford wants to stay and new co-owner Ratcliffe has not given up on him and first wants to find out why the star has hit rock bottom.

He also wants to resolve any issues with boss Erik ten Hag.

Ratcliffe’s right-hand man Sir Dave Brailsford is likely to lead the meeting with the 26-year-old and his representatives.

Rashford recorded a career-best 30 goals for United last season, but has scored just eight this campaign and is no longer a guaranteed starter and is regularly substituted.

That left a question mark over England’s place in the Euros.

Rashford’s relationship with Ten Hag fell apart mainly due to the player’s partying.

The boss is furious that he ignored warnings about his off-field lifestyle.

He celebrated his birthday at Manchester’s Chinawhite nightclub following the 3-0 home derby defeat to City in October.

Ten Hag called him into his office to express his displeasure at this.

Marcus Rashford should score up to 35 goals a year but “needs support”, says Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag

But Rashford partied again, this time in Belfast until the early hours of Friday, January 26, when he was due to train later that day.

He flew back to Manchester on a private plane but said he was ill.

Rashford was dropped from the squad for that Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Newport after Ten Hag learned the background to his absence.

Since then, the player and coach have barely spoken to each other beyond the day’s instructions.

But Rashford does not want to leave and, as revealed by SunSport yesterday, will resist all attempts to sell him.

A potential £80m sale of academy star Rashford would count as profit under financial rules.

But he will be paid £325,000 a week until 2028 and could insist this is paid if he is forced to leave.

United fans lost patience and he was booed when he was substituted in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry.

Off the pitch, Rashford was spotted getting cozy with Colombian model Erica Correa in a trendy Manchester nightclub at the weekend.

Man Utd are ‘dynamic and fun’… but not in a good way, says Dave Kidd

By Dave Kidd

A LOT of laughs were heard when Erik ten Hag proclaimed his Manchester United team “one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams” in the Premier League after a 1-1 home draw with Burnley.

But I agree with him.

This season I watched live as United beat Liverpool and Wolves 4-3, drew 3-3 with Coventry and Galatasaray and lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich and Copenhagen.

I also watched their 4-3 defeat at Chelsea on television.

As a neutral, I don’t recall seeing any team involved in so many mind games during a season.

The problem is that Ten Hag isn’t there to produce chaotic entertainment for people like me, he’s there to make Manchester United successful and make their fans happy – which is a whole different metric.
