Chelsea are in fine form as the Premier League season draws to a close, and are now close to European qualification, with West Ham set to visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

WATCH CHELSEA x WEST HAM LIVE

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have lost just one of their 11 PL games (5W-5D-1L) since losing back-to-back games and conceding four goals each to Liverpool and Wolves at the start of February. The Blues even keep clean sheets these days, eliminating Everton and Tottenham in their last two wins. The progress in Pochettino’s first season is surprisingly similar to that of his early days at Spurs, when it was all about organizing the defense in the early days before building a slightly more expansive football team on a solid defensive foundation. Even better news is…

Wins have been very hard to come by for West Ham of late (1W-4D-3L in their last eight PL games) as the Hammers’ defensive record has taken a sharp turn in the opposite direction. West Ham have not kept a clean sheet since facing Brighton and played out a goalless draw (although they were beaten 22-6 at home) on January 2. Zero clean sheets in 15 PL games. A second long European campaign in a row has certainly taken its toll.
