WREXHAM have revealed the club’s released list following promotion to League One.
The Welsh team have achieved back-to-back promotions as they continue to rise through the ranks of English football under their Hollywood ownership.
Wrexham was acquired by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor Rob McElhenney in 2020.
They helped the club out of the National League and will now compete in League One after a successful season in League Two.
The club’s squad will have a very different look in the new season, as EIGHT players were released.
This includes captain Ben Tozer, who made 131 appearances for the club during his four-year spell at the club.
Other notable players who will be looking for a new club include goalkeeper Rob Lainton, defenders Callum McFadzean, Aaron Hayden and Jordan Tunnicliffe, as well as midfielder Luke Young.
Youngsters Owen Cushion and Dan Davies were also released by the club.
However, former Premier League stars Steven Fletcher and James McClean are expected to stay.
McClean saw his contract automatically extended for the 2024/25 campaign.

While Fletcher was offered a new deal to remain at the Racecourse Ground.
Manager Phil Parkinson admitted that building the squad for League One will be a challenge.
He said: “I’ve been very focused on the team and getting the job done.
“But naturally there are always conversations about budgets, any division we would end up in and possible players.
“It’s a really exciting summer ahead of us.
“The big challenge for us is to be able to build this team strongly to challenge in League One.
“I’m really looking forward to taking on this challenge over the summer months.”
As for Wrexham’s targets for next season, chief executive Humphrey Ker has his sights set on finishing in the top half of League One.
He revealed that the club hope to finish in the upper-middle part of the table upon their return to the third division.
Ker told Independent: “I think we talk a lot about the idea that it takes three transfer windows to really build a squad with what you need to compete in any division and next season will be one window shorter than that.
“But I think the core of this team is very strong. They have very strong personalities, good players and they love each other, so that’s a great foundation to build on.
“We will add players in the summer and unfortunately say goodbye to one or two, which is just the nature of football, and then we will see where we end up.
“Inside the building, we thought, ‘Look, our goal is to get up and stand, stabilize and build a good platform, and come back the next year.’
“But stranger things have happened than promotion – we might move up the division again.
“To be honest, that would probably be too quick for us. In fact, it wouldn’t be as good for the club as a whole if we made it to the end of this year, because we would be going too fast.
“So we would be trying to catch up with the infrastructure and our facilities and everything would be a big, big challenge. So I think something nice and comfortable – upper middle table, please! Tenth. I would be very happy with that.”
