Slot, 45, is set to take charge of his 100th game as Feyenoord coach on Sunday.

However, his pre-match press conference was dominated by rumors surrounding his move to Anfield.

He said: “For the 25th time, I really can’t answer.

“There’s nothing official yet and I’m sitting here with the Feyenoord badge on my chest, so the intention is for this press conference to be about Feyenoord, but I think you’ll try (and ask about Liverpool) anyway.”

The only concession Slot made was to suggest he had “confidence” about the move.

He added: “I still have confidence that things will go well, but I can’t give any more answers.”

However, he got tired of the questions and asked her to stop.

He retorted: “If this continues, it will be an unpleasant press conference.

“I think it’s appropriate to give all the answers to these questions at the end of the season.

“I’m still busy with Feyenoord here and Liverpool are also busy with their season.”

When Slot was asked if he should be congratulated on getting the job, he admitted that people should wait until the end of the season.

He said, “You can always congratulate me, but it’s more appropriate to do it at the end of the season when it’s really official.”

Slot was also asked to confirm reports that he visited England during the week.

“I was in Italy with my daughter, otherwise I wouldn’t have such a nice tan,” he said.

Slot spent three seasons at Feyenoord, won the Dutch championship last season and is on track for second place this campaign.

“We’ve made incredible progress. When I started here we received €5.5m (£4.7m) for our striker and we managed to invest almost that amount,” he said.

“Now we are going to the Champions League for the second season in a row and the money is much more.”

Arne Slot’s track record is WORSE than Erik ten Hag’s

ARNE SLOT will have an almost impossible task – replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

If he switches from the Eredivisie to the Premier League, Slot will follow in the footsteps of fellow Dutchman Erik ten Hag, who has folk challenges.

Ten Hag left Ajax to become manager of Manchester United in 2022.

But he suffered a nightmare at Old Trafford and looks like a dead man despite reaching the FA Cup final.

With Slot seemingly destined for Anfield, fans won’t be able to help but compare his record in the Netherlands to that of Ten Hag.

And Reds fans won’t like what they see.
