BAYERN MUNICH have “made contact with Erik ten Hag’s agent”, according to reports.

The 54-year-old Dutchman is under immense pressure at Old Trafford and is in danger of being sacked at the end of the season.

But he could go straight into another key role as Bundesliga giants Bayern consider him their main role.

It has already been revealed that Ten Hag is one of the names on a three-player list alongside former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui and Benfica’s Roger Schmidt.

But now Celestial sports I understand that Bayern “made contact” with Ten Hag’s agent, Kees Vos, to see if he would be open to a move.

No formal talks have taken place but the Man Utd boss is said to be aware of the interest.

It comes after former Red Devils coach Ralf Rangnick rejected Bayern last month to remain as Austria coach.

The German team is looking for a new coach after it was confirmed that Thomas Tuchel will leave at the end of the season.

Bayern failed to win the Bundesliga title for the first time since 2012, with Bayer Leverkusen galloping to the title.

However, Tuchel’s men still have a chance of winning the Champions League.

Bayern drew 2-2 at home in the first leg of their semi-final against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

If he manages to get through, it will be Tuchel’s third Champions League final in four years – after the defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in 2020 and the triumph against Chelsea in 2021.

Three important things Ten Hag is getting wrong at Man United

Meanwhile, Ten Hag’s last game as Man Utd manager could be the FA Cup final on May 25 if he is sacked at the end of the season.

He will be determined to avenge last season’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at Wembley.
