The 20-year-old joins six teenagers in the squad for United’s final Premier League game.

Ten Hag is without several first-team stars as he continues to deal with a number of injuries.

Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes are absent, with Casemiro still needed at centre-back due to Harry Maguire’s absence.

The injury crisis could give Collyer the chance to make his debut two years after joining the club.

Rangnick recruited the Brighton midfielder during his spell as interim manager in March 2022.

He has also been used as a defender by United’s youth teams, having joined the under-21s upon his arrival.

Collyer was seen training with the first team earlier this season and was photographed during a session ahead of the clash with Luton in February.

Despite not playing against the Hatters, Collyer was included on the bench in matches against Fulham, Manchester City and Everton.

However, the former England youth international has not been called up for the game since the victory over the Toffees on March 9.

Youngsters Harry Amass, Louis Jackson, Habeeb Ogunneye and Ethan Wheatley also made the bench on Monday.

Ten Hag’s team will hope to return to sixth place with a victory.
