MASON GREENWOOD will be sold by Manchester United in the summer, it is claimed.
The striker spent the majority of the 2023/24 season on loan at Spanish side Getafe.
Greenwood, 22, joined the Madrid club last September in a bid to rebuild his career after charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior and assault were dropped six months earlier.
And according to Getafe president Angel Torres, United officials plan to offload their academy product in the coming months.
When asked about the possibility of re-signing Greenwood, he told Radio Marca: “If it depends on the boy and his parents, he will continue for another year.
“Manchester, the news we have from last week is that if there is a good offer they would like to sell.
“Because he’s not going back there.
“So we will have to wait a month and a half or two months, until the end of June.”
“But it depends on him and his family.
“They are very comfortable and very happy with the fans.
“He hadn’t played for 16 months when he arrived and we got him back, he scored 8 goals in the League and 2 in the Cup and has been performing very well.
“What I think is that he will stay. “It will take another year or half a year, until January. This year starting from scratch could be a spectacle.”
