It’s official, Livingston is down.
The threat of relegation has been hanging over us for a long time, so in a strange way it’s a relief to finally get it over with.
With the poor season we’ve had, most Livi fans probably had little hope of staying awake, even after last week’s victory over Ross County.
Still, I wanted to see a performance like last week’s at Motherwell, but we just couldn’t do it.
It was the usual story, well played in some parts, but it simply didn’t have the quality to get any kind of result. Yes, we had a goal disallowed, but I’m not sure any Livi fans would say that had a massive influence on the game.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the manager and players need to give the fans some entertainment in the remaining games. We’ve been hungry for goals all season, so we’ll try to come out strong.
It looks like there is a clean up on the way, I can’t see many players wanting to stay and I also can’t see many fans wanting many of these players to stay.
But the pressure is off now, so let’s all have fun with our football and maybe put some smiles on our faces.
