JAMIE CARRAGHER has agreed to appear as a “roving reporter” on CBS Sports during next season’s Champions League.
The 46-year-old commentator was sent to Dortmund last week when BVB faced Paris Saint-Germain at Signal Iduna Park.
Carragher was welcomed as one of their own, drinking with fans before singing You’ll Never Walk Alone on the Yellow Wall.
Returning to the studio for this week’s second round, Carra was asked about his experience by presenter Kate Abdo.
Asked how he felt the next day, the former Liverpool star smiled as he admitted: “Hungover, but I loved it.
“It was on the bucket list, I said so. Going to Borussia Dortmund, whether in this program or in the years to come, as a football fan.
“But I’ve never been on the Kop and sang You’ll Never Walk Alone, but now I’ve done it on the Yellow Wall, as I like to call it.
“Singing You’ll Never Walk Alone and being there with my new family of friends was something I’ll never forget, it was brilliant – I loved it.”
Following Dortmund’s 1-0 win last week, Carragher interviewed Jadon Sancho after sinking eight pints.
With the group back in the studio in hysterics, Abdo made a proposal to Carragher before this week’s second stage.

She said: “It’s funny you mention never having been to the Kop, maybe you could apply for that for next season.
“Because something happened after you weren’t here last week. We all had an impromptu meeting with production and talent and took a vote.
“And the vote was: We think you should be sent as a roving reporter for the show, should that be your new role next season?
“You did it so well that we all thought you stood out.”
Regarding this, Carragher joked: “There were no complaints, were there?”
Abdo, 42, laughed before responding: “Moving on… What do you think? You have the deciding vote, I think, would you like to do that?”
Carragher considered his response before saying: “Not in the group stage.
“Big semi-finals, yes, I will do that. Knockout stages in big environments, getting in there with the crowd.
“I think this could be a spin-off show.”
Abdo joked: “Man of the people… but only in elite games.”
This got a laugh from Carragher, who said: “Exactly.”
Carra’s new friends at Dortmund will have been delighted with how the second leg turned out.
Mats Hummels’ 50th-minute header saw BVB win the tie 2-0 on aggregate, despite Kylian Mbappe and company wasting numerous chances.
Edin Terzic’s side will face either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the final at Wembley – with the two sides meeting on Wednesday night tied 2-2 in the first leg.
