ARNE SLOT will reportedly move into Jurgen Klopp’s house after taking up his role.

Liverpool were rocked in January when the German announced he would leave Anfield this summer.

The 56-year-old ensured he will leave with a few trophies when he guided the Reds to victory in the Carabao Cup in February.

However, their hopes of leading them to the title are all but over, just as their FA Cup and Europa League aspirations are also over.

Feyenoord manager Slot, 45, is believed to have already agreed to become Liverpool’s new manager next season.

And fans are just waiting for the formalities to be completed and the official announcement.

Now the Daily Mirror stated that Slot will move into Klopp’s seven-bedroom house.

They report that removal vans were seen at Klopp’s home, which is worth around £4 million, and “in the exclusive village” of Formby on Merseyside.

The mansion has three lounges, home cinema, indoor pool and landscaped garden and is owned by the Premier League club.

Liverpool bought him from their former manager Brendan Rodgers, after he had already bought him from legendary former captain Steven Gerrard.

Klopp is said to have become a popular figure in Formby and “is often seen in local pubs and restaurants” in the area.

But now locals will be waiting to welcome Dutchman Slot to the area, with him preparing to move into the property.

It is now believed that Klopp plans to spend time in Mallorca once he leaves Anfield.

He bought a £3.4 million home in Santa Ponsa two years ago and plans to enjoy some time off on the Spanish island.

However, he can expect a call from his successor.

Slot recently revealed he planned to call Klopp as soon as he officially takes charge.

He said: “It’s normal if you go to a new club to get in touch with the coach.

“I also did that at Feyenoord.

“All the knowledge a person has from working at the club for a few years, or nine in this case.”

Liverpool travel to Aston Villa on Monday before finishing the campaign at home to Wolves, which will be Klopp’s final match in charge after nine years.

What they said about Arne Slot

MATT WADE, head of sports strategy at Feyenoord

“He is a brilliant and consultative communicator, but at the same time clear.

“He’s quite cautious, quite introverted, but very rule-based and principled, which means everyone knows where they stand.

“And he’s not paranoid, which gives experts freedom to operate.”

SANDER WESTERVELD, former Liverpool goalkeeper and teammate of Arne Slot

“When I played with Arne at Sparta, you could see he would become a coach.

“He was a leader, a number 10 midfielder and someone who would change tactics on his own.

“The work he did at Feyenoord makes him the perfect choice for Liverpool.”

Dutch football journalist MARCEL VAN DER KRAAN

“I have been following Feyenoord for 40 years. Not since Johan Cruyff’s time at Ajax in the 1980s has there been a coach so attacking in the Dutch league.

“Cruyff only had a few disciples who followed him and one of them was Pep Guardiola.”

Arsenal star REISS NELSON, who played 31 games under Slot, on loan at Feyenoord

“I felt that Arne Slot is a great coach. He really put me in my groove.

“He gave me a lot of opportunities to play and I stood out.”
