WAYNE ROONEY claims some Manchester United players are avoiding playing for Erik ten Hag.
The club’s top scorer, with 253 goals, believes he is saving himself for the FA Cup and Euro finals.

Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are the latest in a long list of patients.
Asked if United were trying to sign their manager, Rooney said: “If they are, I don’t think they are showing it very well. Some of these players can play 100%.
“You’ve got a European Championship and an FA Cup final coming up. As they are staying locked in, it is easy for players to come back and prepare for the final and the Euros. I saw it myself.
“When your coach talks about the players’ attitude not being right to play, that’s a huge insult.”
Fernandes and Rashford were absent from the game against Arsenal.
However, despite not being called up for Sunday’s clash, the pair trained this week.
Lisandro Martinez also returned, but has been plagued by injuries this campaign.
Argentina’s World Cup winner suffered a calf injury against Brentford on March 30 as he recovered from a two-month layoff with a knee injury and has been out since.
Roy Keane, who was sitting next to Rooney, expressed his former teammate’s concerns in the Sky Sports studio.
He said: “Obviously this is not a good sign. You would expect injured players to be desperate to get back to playing.
“There is always a concern, there are always players at every club who could be delayed due to an injury.
“Usually the players I played with, when they had a period where they would be injured, they were always trying to take a week off and come back and play for Manchester United or whatever club they were at.

“It’s always a concern, but I have to say this happens at a lot of football clubs.
“There are a lot of players who get injured and are in no rush to get back into the team. I think that’s obvious and it happens at a lot of football clubs.”
With games filling up quickly ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City, including Newcastle and Brighton, those missing do not have much time to prove their fitness.
