ERLING HAALAND sparked great joy among Aston Villa and Wags players as they secured their first Champions League place since 1983.
The striker’s double sank Tottenham and put Manchester City on the brink of a fourth consecutive Prem title and secured fourth place for the Villans.
Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez led the wild scenes at the club’s end-of-season champagne awards as stars leapt from their seats and screamed.
But defender Lucas Digne looked the most ecstatic – dancing and shouting in front of the camera.
Boss Unai Emery threw up his arms in joy – now knowing for certain that his team will finish lower than only City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
There was even royal joy – via an official message from the Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media account.
Villa fan Prince William was behind the message, as the club’s post confirming Champions League qualification gained a majestic retweet.
William and his wife Kate wrote: “We are the Champions League! A historic season and an incredible achievement. Thank you to Unai, the whole team and everyone at @AVFCOfficial. Can’t wait for next season. #UTV! W”
The players watched City’s clash with Spurs on a big screen – in electrifying scenes shared by Villa on social media.
The room fell silent as Haaland prepared to take a stoppage-time penalty to make it 1-0.
