WAYNE ROONEY has revealed the one “nightmare” teammate he had at Manchester United when it came to arguing.
Appearing in Stick to football podcast, Rooney was alongside Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Ian Wright, Jill Scott and special guest Andy Cole with the topic of discussion being disagreements between teammates.
Neville, 49, said: “I couldn’t walk into a changing room thinking there’s someone I’m not talking to.”
However, Rooney, 38, revealed that during his time at Man Utd there was one player who could certainly do that, Nemanja Vidic.
Speaking about the Serbian enforcer, who won five Premier League titles as a defender for the Red Devils, Rooney said: “I would talk to everyone, but do you remember Vidic?
“He was arguing with someone and I remember he didn’t speak to Giggsy (Ryan Giggs) for six months. He didn’t speak to Patrice (Evra) for months.
“He would argue with someone and just not talk to them.”
Rooney, known for his temper in his youth, then recalled his own falling out with Vidic.
“I had an argument with him once and he was falling the same way and I pulled him up and said, ‘Grow up, what’s wrong with you? We’re teammates.’
“Giggsy didn’t bother to speak to him at that time and it went on for months and he was the captain.”

Former Red Devils captain Keane, 52, joked: “That’s so childish,” which sent the group roaring with laughter.
Arsenal icon Wright, 60, then asked if the disagreement had affected the way the team played.
Rooney replied: “No, actually. I wouldn’t say that.”
The England legend also picked a fight with Sir Alex Ferguson.
He added: “I had a disagreement with the manager, but on the day of the game I ran into a brick wall.
“I wouldn’t let it get in the way of our game.”
Former Manchester City Women star Scott, 37, jokingly asked if Rooney also took Ferguson aside and told him to “grow up”, once again prompting laughter.
Rooney lashed out at Man Utd’s players after their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal and sensationally accused some players of giving up on playing under Erik ten Hag.
