MAYRA RAMIREZ caused magnificent chaos, lighting the fuse for a six-goal Chelsea rampage, with Emma Hayes receiving a violent sending off.

The Colombian scored twice in the 6-0 win at Old Trafford over Manchester United, with Fran Kirby also scoring in his last appearance for the Blues.

The one-sided demolition saw them crowned Queens of the Women’s Super League for the fifth time in a row, with England manager Sarina Wiegman and United icon Sir Alex Ferguson watching from the stands.

The visitors also increased their number of trophies from 15 to 16, with Hayes ending the Blues’ reign as Division One champions, 12 years after starting her job without an office or staff.

The Women’s Super League season finals weren’t much more intense than today’s games, with the race once again coming down to the wire.

The stakes were high for the Blues, who started the day in first place but were level on points with second-placed Man City, initially by virtue of a two-goal advantage on balance.

It was the last day that straight-talking, serial-winning boss Hayes would be on the bench before taking command of the U.S. women’s national team at the end of this period.

In a season that began with dreams of a treble, hopes that were later dashed, the visitors were eager to give their coach another silver medal send-off

With Arsenal beating them in the Conti Cup, Barcelona dispatching them in the Champions League and Man United ending their FA Cup run in the semi-finals, the league was their only hope.

“The league is her bread and butter,” was the response Hayes gave at a press conference two years ago when asked what winning back-to-back titles means to her.

However, earlier this month, their seven-time champions came very close to ending the season trophyless.

A shock 4-3 defeat to Liverpool took the race out of Chelsea’s hands, with Gareth Taylor’s Man City looking for victory.

But Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal, who secured a hard-fought away victory against City earlier this month, gave Hayes a second chance.

“We’re not done yet,” were the words Hayes roared after his final home game at Kingsmeadow 13 days ago.

At that time, his team took advantage of Man City’s points loss to reignite the title race by defeating Bristol City 8-0.

And in today’s game they grabbed it with both hands and roasted the Red Devils as they took a 4-0 lead after 44 minutes.

Ramirez, who has missed the Blues’ last five matches with a hamstring injury, made an impressive return with his striker friend Sam Kerr among the spectators in the stands.

The Colombian took just two minutes to give Chelsea the lead after Guro Reiten’s cross.

Johanna Rytting Kaneryd made it 2-0 six minutes later, scoring a corner from United goalkeeper Mary Earps.

United hit the post with Maya Le Tissier’s header from a corner before Sjoeke Nusken made it 3-0 from close range.

And they increased their lead to 4-0, with Ramirez outpacing his marker to score two before half-time.

The second spell went from bad to worse for Marc Skinner’s team, with Melanie Leupolz taking advantage of the mistake in the clearance to shoot into the back of the goal.

And the Chelsea heroine, who was playing her final Blues game before leaving the club this month, slotted home a classy finish to end the hammering.
