JURGEN KLOPP looked around his now former office after a “strange and emotional” training session at Liverpool.

The Reds were rocked in January when their German manager announced he would leave Anfield after nine years at the end of the season.

Klopp, who leaves after winning the Carabao Cup in February, will make an emotional farewell to the Kop against Wolves in his final match on Sunday.

He has guided the club to the Premier League title and Champions League glory as Arne Slot prepares to replace him on the bench.

However, ahead of his grand final tomorrow, Klopp shocked fans by taking to Instagram and later releasing a sweet farewell video.

He then released another video in which he gave fans a look inside his office at the club’s training ground.

And it showed that he has already packed his things as he prepares to leave Reds HQ for the last time.

“So here I am, last day at the office,” he begins.

At this point he turned the camera to a window overlooking one of Kirkby’s green fields.

Klopp continued: “Last session held and it was strange, I would say.

“Not many coaches were very emotional, I would be.

“I didn’t know yet. I told myself that tomorrow is a game and then it’s a holiday.

“Obviously, I decide what I think until I get overwhelmed tomorrow.

“Then, I will leave this place which is… erm… yes… an interesting experience, I would say.”

And at this point he pans the camera to show several boxes he packed with his belongings and souvenirs before finishing with a cheeky smile and an “ay-ay-ay-ay-ay.”

He then finished with: “See you tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Dutchman Slot are also set to move to Klopp’s Merseyside home.

And the exodus from Anfield continued this week when Liverpool announced that popular duo Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara would be leaving the club.

Although the two players and Klopp will say an emotional farewell tomorrow, two members of their squad are looking forward to an exciting new challenge.

His assistant, Pepijn Lijnders, will take over as manager of Red Bull Salzburg after he leaves Liverpool.

And he will be joined at the Austrian Bundesliga giants by fellow Anfield manager Vitor Matos, who will be his number two.

Klopp botched his departure from Liverpool… and it cost him his legacy, says Dave Kidd

NOW we know Jurgen Klopp’s latest major trophy haul at Liverpool – a Champions League, a Premier League, an FA Cup, two League Cups and (if necessary) a Club World Cup.

But where is his reign among the greatest of the Premier League era?

In terms of black and white, Klopp is far behind Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola, the only two men to have won multiple Premier Leagues and a Champions League at the same club.

These two stand alongside Brian Clough, Bob Paisley and Sir Matt Busby as the greatest names in English football management of all time.

But Klopp is on the next level – with Arsene Wenger, José Mourinho (Chelsea’s version), Bill Shankly and Don Revie.

They were all men with the strength of character to transform their clubs in their image and enjoy success, but who did not win as much as they could have.

If Klopp had managed to keep his intentions secret and had won another title, perhaps even a treble or quadruple, he would have reached the top tier with Ferguson, Guardiola, Clough, Paisley and Busby.

But deciding when and how to leave is one of the most difficult decisions for any coach or athlete.

Klopp got it wrong.
