FORMER Liverpool and Wales wonderkid Ben Woodburn is searching for a new club after his contract at Preston North End expired.
He is one of two players released from the club and joins veteran defender Greg Cunningham, 33, on release.
Woodburn, 24, joined Preston from Liverpool in July 2022.
The midfielder has played 21 games for the club in the Championship this season.
He made 63 appearances for Preston in total, but only made 13 league appearances for the Lilywhites during his time at the club.
Woodburn came through the Liverpool academy under former manager Jurgen Klopp.
He made 11 appearances for Liverpool during his time there, one of which was in the Premier League.
The player also has 11 caps for Wales and scored on his debut, when he was just 17 years old, against Austria.
His most recent inclusion in the Wales squad came in 2021.
Elsewhere on Preston’s contract list, the club have offered captain Alan Browne a new contract.

The 29-year-old Irishman has made 374 appearances for Preston since arriving from Cork City.
20-year-old midfielder Lewis Leigh has also been offered a new contract.
Ched Evans, 35, was offered the role of player-coach.
Preston finished tenth in the championship but finished the season in terrible form, losing the last five.
