CHRIS COLEMAN is wanted by Cypriot side AEL Limassol.

Wales’ popular Euro 2016 coach, who took his country to the semi-finals, has been out of work since resigning from Atromitos in Greece last October.

But SunSport understands Coleman is expected to continue negotiations with the club, who finished ninth in Cyprus’ top flight last season.

AEL recently parted ways with boss Alexandros Garpozis last week.

And Coleman, the former Fulham and Sunderland boss who has also attracted interest from China, is in line to take over.

The 53-year-old has never hidden his desire to return to work abroad.

Coleman, who has held talks with Ireland over the vacant role, had spells at Real Sociedad in Spain, Larissa and Atromotis in Greece, as well as Hebei China Fortune in China.

But the Welshman is best remembered for leading Gareth Bale and co to the last four Euros in France eight years ago.

Coleman was back in his homeland earlier this month when he took charge of Wales in a charity match against England.

The former Dragons manager returned to his hometown of Swansea for the 2-0 victory, paying tribute to Joseph’s Smile and the Bradley Lowery Foundation.
