VIEWING figures showed that more people were tuning in to watch Jurgen Klopp’s farewell than Manchester City’s title win.

The Liverpool manager said goodbye to Anfield after the 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on the last day of the season.

Klopp, 56, will be replaced by Arne Slot after ending his spell as Reds manager.

Klopp’s speech and title celebrations were broadcast on the club’s YouTube channels and televised.

Blinkfire Analytics reported that Klopp was watched by 70% more people than City’s jubilations were watched by viewers.

Both Liverpool and City broadcast the moments on their YouTube channels with the same result.

44% more people were tuning in to Anfield than Etihad.

On social media it was practically the same story, as Liverpool accumulated 39.2 million engagements, while City accumulated 27.1 million.

Man City still have one game to play this season as they face rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

After winning the Premier League again, Pep Guardiola dropped a bombshell.

The Spaniard hinted that next season could be his last as coach of the Citizens.

He said: “The reality is that I am closer to leaving than staying.

“We’ve spoken to the club – my feeling is I want to stay now.

“So I’ll stay next season and during the season we’ll talk. But eight or nine years? We’ll see.”
