Chicago Sky star Angel Reese reportedly joins D.C.-based soccer club’s ownership group originally appeared in NBC Sports Chicago
Chicago sky advance Angel Reese has reportedly embarked on a new business venture, joining the ownership group of newly formed football club DC Power FC.

Reese has strong connections to the DC area. She was born in Randallstown, Maryland, attending St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. She began her college career at Maryland before transferring to LSU for the 2022 season.
She was selected with the 7th overall pick by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
DC Power FC is one of eight clubs forming the brand new USL Superliga, which will begin airing later this year. The new women’s football league will follow the same calendar as many professional football leagues around the world, starting in late summer and running through spring, allowing players to participate in their national team’s competitions and clubs to participate in the market. of transfers to acquire new talents.
While there will be no teams near Chicago at the league’s launch, Indianapolis and Madison are expected to field teams in future seasons, according to the USL Super League website.

Several clubs from that league, including FC Cincinnati, Nashville SC and Orlando City SC, have moved up to MLS.
