WILL STILL is in talks with Norwich City as he targets his first managerial role in England.

The Championship club are in search of a new manager after sacking David Wagner following their crushing 4-0 play-off second leg defeat to Leeds.

The former Reims manager visited Lotus’ Norwich training ground earlier this week.

But SunSport understands that four other candidates will need to be consulted.

The line-up of targets includes former AZ Alkmaar manager Pascal Jansen and Arsenal assistant Carlos Cuesta.

But Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper had already negotiated with Still when he was loan manager at Arsenal, as ex-Gunners Folarin Balogun was playing under Still in the 2022-23 season.

The 31-year-old took charge of the French club, where he was previously assistant to Oscar Garcia, in October 2022, with the team languishing in the midst of a fight against relegation from Ligue 1.

However, he led them to a 19-game unbeaten run and 11th place.

But just before the end of the season, the French team announced its departure after winning two of its last 14 games.

Still was born in Belgium, son of English parents, and admitted that his love for coaching was born through the beloved game Football Manager.

His first job was at Myerscough College in Preston, where he got the chance to coach the North End under-14 team.

He then got in touch with his Belgian football contacts asking if there were any opportunities.

Then the Sint-Truiden club appeared as trump cards – offering him work as an opposition analyst.

He still held various positions in 2017 – including roles at Standard Liege and second division Lierse.

At the age of 24, Liege promoted him to head coach – however, when the club ran into financial difficulties, he was forced to leave.

A brief spell at Beerschot was followed by rumors about him joining Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht.

But he then went to France to be Garcia’s right-hand man on a short-term contract.

Earlier this season, he was spotted watching his beloved West Ham in action at the London Stadium – leading fans to call him a “dream” replacement for David Moyes.
