Former striker Matty Fryatt has spoken about his time at Leicester City and how he “always had great support from the fans”.
Fryatt was at the Foxes between 2006 and 2011 and looking back on his career at the club on the When You’re Smiling podcast, he said: “I enjoyed it – I always had great support from the fans, the fantastic fans and what they were. Even when we were going through difficult days.
“They have always supported me privately – there have been some lows but there have been highs too.
“Nigel [Pearson] I went to Hull but obviously came back six months later, so I could have stayed – I don’t know if that would have been a good thing.
“Nigel effectively came back and we all know what happened – but I think I played a small part in where he went and where he went.
“It’s a fantastic football club, I was a little disappointed in the end, but that was in relation to the coach and not the club. I can only look back with good memories.”
