Speaking with Online Mailthe now father-of-six admits the affair left him considering a move to Bayern Munich just to get out of the UK.
Kyle, who turns 34 next week, said: “That was a point in my personal life where I felt like I wanted to move away from England and it had nothing to do with football reasons.
“It was personal for me, I thought taking a break from England might have been right for me.
“But first of all I have to think about football.
“It’s what I love to do and I felt that in the end I would be much happier at Manchester City than at Bayern Munich.”
Kyle fathered Kairo with Lauryn Goodman in April 2020 during a brief relationship when he temporarily separated from his wife Annie Kilner.
A bitter row ensued when Lauryn, 33, branded Annie an “evil stepmother” trying to “eradicate” her son’s existence in a social media post.
Annie took Kyle back and the two – who now have four children together – got married in November 2021.
In March last year, Lauryn revealed that she was expecting her second child – and remained silent about her daughter’s paternity, revealing only that he “is a football player”.
At the time, Annie was pregnant with her and Kyle’s fourth child, Rezon.
The footballer carried the cart onto the pitch at the Etihad Stadium ahead of City’s winning game against West Ham this weekend.
Last month, friends claimed Lauryn gave Kyle three ultimatums to keep their love child a secret.
A friend told Online Mail: “He wasn’t allowed to buy a bigger house with Annie and the kids and he couldn’t have another child with Annie.
“She also wanted him to put his money into a trust fund so she could have an equal share and continue to receive what he was already paying if it was disclosed.”
Lauryn has denied making such demands, but has since lashed out at Kyle, claiming Kairo now asks, “Where is my daddy?”
In an extraordinary Boxing Day showdown, Lauryn texted Annie to say Kyle was the father of her second child.
A tearful Annie confronted the Man City full-back and the pair argued before she ordered him to leave the family home.
But earlier this month she welcomed her embarrassed husband back to the marital home.
Annie has reportedly warned Lauryn to “stay away” from the Euros in Germany next month over fears she could damage England’s chances.
But Lauryn is determined to take the defender’s two children to the tournament.
