LUKE SHAW has given fans an injury update and lashed out at those who have questioned his loyalty to Manchester United.
The defender has been undergoing treatment since suffering his last injury setback against Luton in February.
At the start of the season, Shaw missed several weeks of action with a muscle injury and has made just 12 Premier League appearances this season.
He was still called up to England’s Euro 2024 squad, but had to watch United’s FA Cup success from the stands at Wembley.
Shaw revealed his loyalty to the club has been questioned in recent weeks as he gives an update on his wellbeing.
He wrote in a statement on Instagram: “Happy for the boys for lifting the trophy at the weekend and finishing this season on a positive note. As much as I wanted the result, it was difficult to watch from the stands.
“This has definitely been the most frustrating season for me, I’ve had setback after setback and I’ve worked really hard to get back into good shape, but things just haven’t gone my way. of the season and the final, but some things just shouldn’t happen.
“There is nothing I want to do more than play and win for Manchester United.
“Normally I don’t react to things I see on social media, but there are a lot of people who question my loyalty to this club and ask how I’m fit for England but not for United.
“The reality is that I’m not 100 percent fit for either at the moment, but I’m doing everything I can and constantly working to be. I’ve been at this club for 10 years, going through ups and downs, and for someone to question my loyalty is obviously frustrating.
