Plymouth Argyle’s chances of relegation following Wayne Rooney’s appointment as manager have been revealed.

The 38-year-old Manchester United legend has been officially confirmed as the Championship the new outfit gaffer last week.

Rooney did not do well in management and was fired TWICE over a period of five months in the 2023/24 season.

He was relieved of his duties by DC United last October, which paved the way for a move to Birmingham City.

But a disastrous 15-game run saw the Blues hand Roo his P45.

Rooney’s recent managerial problems have sparked fears he could relegate Argyle to League One next season.

The Pilgrims were 2/1 to escape the Championship next season before Rooney’s appointment.
