FANS said “that’s a bit extreme” when Neymar slashed his teammate’s tires in response to a shoelace prank.
The shenanigans took place in Saudi Arabia as Al-Hilal star Neymar sought revenge against teammate and compatriot Renan Lodi.
The latter has played a series of cheeky pranks on Neymar in recent weeks.
Lodi couldn’t resist and stole some pairs of Neymar’s sneakers at Al-Hilal’s training ground.
And he started to get a few laughs by tying his shoelaces in knots.
However, Neymar reacted bizarrely to being caught on video attacking Lodi’s car with a knife in his own prank.
The attacker decided to cut his companion’s tires with a knife.
This left Lodi stranded after a practice session, with all tires having to be removed and replaced.
And fans felt that Neymar reacted a little harshly to the initial shoe prank.
One said: “Strange answer.”

Another stated: “That’s a bit extreme.”
One noted: “A very expensive prank.”
Another added: “Prank season has begun.”
Neymar, 32, joined Al-Hilal last summer after six years at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian is earning almost £130 million a year in Saudi Arabia.
But he has played just five times so far after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in October.
As for Lodi, he joined Al-Hilal in January after just a few months at Marseille.
The former Nottingham Forest loanee has already played 10 games.
And both Neymar and Lodi hope Al-Hilal, who won the Saudi Pro League this season, can end the campaign with another trophy when they face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in the King Cup of Champions final tomorrow.
