While many decided to escape the Wembley area to see the best tourist spots.

Many Dortmund fans traveled in an open yellow bus around Piccadilly Circus.

And some even launched flares around the famous London hotspot.

Meanwhile, hordes of his Real Madrid colleagues headed to the Champions League Festival fan park in Trafalgar Square.

Bellingham, 20, has already become the ‘King of Real Madrid’ during his first season in the Spanish capital – and winning tonight would truly cement his status.

Meanwhile, fellow Englishman Jadon Sancho has been on a redemption mission during the second half of the season at Dortmund and could give Erik ten Hag plenty to think about with a top-notch performance.

Sancho, 24, is not the only English winger who will take to the field for BVB tonight.

Talented 19-year-old Jamie Bynoe-Gittens could also make a big impact for Dortmund under the Wembley arch, just 40 miles from his hometown of Reading.

While both teams have youngsters looking for glory, they also have crafty veterans looking for one last hurray.

Toni Kroos is set to play his final game for Real Madrid before retiring after Euro 2024, and would consider winning another Champions League to be a suitable way to sign his contract.

His midfield partner Luka Modric could also leave Real Madrid after this game, with a contract until the end of the season.

On the other hand, Marco Reus leaves for what would be a fairytale ending to his 12 years at Dortmund – the 35-year-old has already confirmed he will leave this summer.

Analyst Jamie Carragher, meanwhile, was excited for Dortmund fans last month ahead of their semi-final victory over Paris Saint-Germain.

And last night he joined the BVB faithful, drinking with the lively London group.

Whoever wins tonight, the stage is set for an unforgettable occasion.
