Littler, 17, will go from shooting arrows across the board to casting rods in the wide range at the Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship.

ITV4 and ITVX will broadcast a two-hour package on July 30 following the charity event in Warwickshire.

English football hero Terry Butcher, former world boxing champion Kell Brook and snooker icon Steve Davis are among the other big names taking part.

Littler said: “I’ve never fished in my life so it’s completely new.

“But I’m really excited to be fishing in the Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship.”

The Warrington genius reached the top of the oche after reaching the World Championship final in January aged just 16.

Littler was crowned Premier League darts king, as well as winning the Bahrain Masters and the Belgian and Austrian Opens.

Now he will tackle fishing in a four-hour team event alongside three darts rivals: new US Masters champion Rob Cross, James Wade and Adrian Lewis.
