IPSWICH has confirmed the departure of 10 players ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The Tractor Boys finished second in the Championship to book their place in next season’s Premier League, which will be their first time in the top flight since 2002.
The club looked set to lose manager Kieran McKenna to a Prem rival, with the likes of Brighton, Chelsea and Manchester United all circling before he signed a new contract to stay at Portman Road.
However, this summer is the end of the line for 10 players who were part of the club’s promotion push.
Five stars, Omari Hutchinson (Chelsea), Kieffer Moore (Bournemouth), Jeremy Sarmiento (Brighton), Lewis Travis (Blackburn) and Brandon Williams (Manchester United), saw their loan transfers expire.
Between them, the five stars scored 24 league goals in 146 matches in total.
Kayden Jackson, 30, and Dominic Ball, 28, were released by the club after their contracts expired.
Jackson and Ball have been key players in the club’s back-to-back promotions from League One under McKenna.
Regarding their departures, McKenna said: “Kayden and Dominic were important members of a group that achieved significant success over the past two seasons.
“They both made vital contributions on the field and, off it, played central roles in developing a culture and establishing standards that were so important to the club’s progress.
“His contributions to everything the club has achieved should not be underestimated.
“I am sure that Kayden and Dominic will be real assets at whichever club they take the next steps in their careers and will always be welcome at Portman Road and Playford Road.”
Meanwhile, Panutche Camara and Nick Hayes left the club, with the latter sealing a move to Barnet.
Janoi Donacien also saw his contract at the club expire but will return for pre-season as he continues his rehabilitation at Playford Road.
Sone Aluko, who joined the club in 2021, left the club after announcing his retirement at the age of 35.
