HARRY REDKNAPP’S grandson Harry Redknapp Jr has signed for non-league side Dorchester Town.
The former AFC Bournemouth youth international was one of 14 stars released by the club this summer.
Redknapp, 18, joined Bournemouth aged seven after being born in the nearby town of Poole.
The defender spent a season at Dorchester on loan last season and made two appearances for QPR Under-18s in the FA Youth Cup.
The Southern League Premier Division side opted to make the move permanent this summer following his departure from Bournemouth.
He follows in the footsteps of his father Mark and grandfather Harry by signing for Dorchester – with all three playing for the Magpies at some point in their careers.
After signing the youngster, manager Tom Killick said: “I am delighted to announce that Harry Redknapp Jr has signed for the club.
“Harry made a huge impression in the brief period he was with us at the end of the season and we feel he is a player with huge ability and potential to return to full-time football.
“He will be a real asset and we are very happy to have him with us.”
Redknapp Jr is the nephew of former Liverpool and Tottenham star Jamie Redknapp.
