ENGLAND has the most valuable squad at this summer’s Euros.
Gareth Southgate’s side had a disappointing display in their final friendly before heading to Germany when they lost 1-0 to Iceland at Wembley on Friday night.
But they remain favorites to win the Euros due to the plethora of superstar players in their squad.
Names like Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Declan Rice, Cole Palmer and Bukayo Saka contribute to them being the nation with the greatest value in the tournament.
Southgate’s team is worth £1.29 billion.
And that number could have been even higher if the England manager hadn’t left out players like Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish.
The squad’s value is £250 million more than the next country on the list – World Cup finalists France [£1.04bn].
England and France are the only teams worth more than £1 billion – which explains why they are the two favorites to triumph this summer.
Behind them comes Portugal [£890m] and Spain [£820m]while hosts Germany [£722m] completing the top five.
The Netherlands [£717m] and Italy [£599m] complete a list of teams from seven countries with over £500 million worth of talent.
