N’GOLO KANTE was given a hero’s welcome by his French team-mates after his masterclass against Austria.

The Chelsea legend was featured in the 2018 World Cup champions’ group stage opener in Germany.

And even his teammates were stunned by his performance as they applauded Kante’s arrival in the dressing room.

But the famous Al-Ittihad star, shy and humble, didn’t say a word and instead gave a joyful look as he sat with the amazed fans.

One of them said: “Is there a nicer player than Kante?”

Another added: “Love him man.”

Kante partnered Adrien Rabiot in the 1-0 victory and went back in time to cover every blade of grass on the pitch.

The former Blue left London last summer for Saudi Arabia after a period away from Chelsea.

But this season he has returned to full fitness with over 40 appearances – just in time for France coach Didier Deschamps.

Deschamps said after the win over Austria: “I brought him into this. I was once sure that he had rediscovered his athletic abilities.
