KYLIAN MBAPPE’s new mask has been revealed ahead of France’s clash with the Netherlands at Euro 2024.
The striker broke his nose in his team’s opening win over Austria on Monday.
As a result, he will have to play with a mask to deal with the injury, starting from Friday night’s clash with the Dutch.
After training in a mask adorning the French flag, Mbappe shared a photo of an all-black mask on Instagram before the match.
His story post showed the mask next to the France kit, although Mbappe will not start the match in Leipzig.
Instead, Didier Deschamps named the 25-year-old among his replacements.
The reveal of Mbappe’s new mask comes after it was revealed that he would not be able to wear the tricolor design he used in training.
UEFA rules state that masks worn in matches must be a single color, unlike the design he previously sported.
The new mask revealed by Mbappé would comply with UEFA rules if he appeared outside the bench.
