GEORGIA and the Czech Republic are on the verge of exiting Euro 2024 after playing out a 1-1 draw at the Volksparkstadion.
Both teams went into the Group F game needing a win, having lost their opening games of Euro 2024.
Adam Hlozek thought he had given his side the lead after passing the ball past Giorgi Mamardashvili.
However, the goal was disallowed after VAR judged that he had handled the ball.
VAR scored again against the Czech Republic, this time when Robin Hranac was caught with the ball in his own box.
Georgian striker Georges Mikautadze converted the penalty to take the lead just before half-time.
The Cezhs equalized when Patrik Schick shot from close range in the 58th minute.
Neither side could find a winner as Georgia wasted a brilliant opportunity in the dying seconds.
The draw leaves both sides on the brink of elimination.
