TOTTENHAM will try to reach a deal with Southampton to swap Joe Rodon for Carlos Alcaraz.
Spurs want to sell £10m-rated Welsh midfielder Rodon, 26, who has returned from a loan at Leeds.

And they are also interested in Argentine midfielder Alcaraz, who had a temporary spell at Juventus last season.
The 21-year-old did not want to play in the Championship after joining the Saints from Racing Club for £12m in January 2023.
In Italy, Alcaraz made 12 appearances and provided one assist.
But clubs will have to work on valuations as Alcaraz is valued at around £30m.
The Saints are also after a new Premier League goalkeeper in Sunderland’s 24-year-old Anthony Patterson.
Gavin Bazunu ruptured his Achilles tendon in April and Southampton had to call up 34-year-old Alex McCarthy for the clash.
But the Black Cats will ask for £15m-£20m for Patterson, while the Saints are looking to spend around half that.
Alcaraz is not the only player of interest to Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Spurs are also interested in signing Manchester City outcast Yan Couto.
The winger starred for Girona in LaLiga last season, helping the club qualify for the Champions League.
Tottenham want to sign the Brazilian to replace Emerson Royal.
Leeds prospect Archie Gray is also a target for the club as he has had a breakthrough season in the Championship.
The midfielder is valued at £20m but has interest from Liverpool.
