Palace are willing to move for the 26-year-old former Celtic hitman who has fallen down the pecking order – but would need a precisely aligned replacement.
Eagles goalkeeper Joe Whitworth, 20, is close to a loan move to Exeter for this season.
Edouard enters the final year of his contract this summer, having signed from Celtic in 2021.
He scored twice on his Premier League debut against Tottenham three years ago but has struggled for minutes under Oliver Glasner.
Since Glasner’s first match as Palace manager in February, Edouard has not started a game for the club.
A single goal in that period saw him end the campaign with seven league goals.
However, he finished the campaign behind Jean-Philippe Mateta in the pecking order and is now set to depart this summer.
As for Whitworth, he signed a new contract until 2027 in January 2023.

However, the youngster only made two first-team appearances for his boyhood club.
Whitworth featured in defeats to Brighton and Arsenal in March 2023 but has not featured since.

He is now set to move to League One, where Exeter are competing for the third consecutive season after finishing 13th last season.
Palace have also been busy with arrivals so far this summer, as well as working on potential exits.
Moroccan central defender Chadi Riad has already arrived at the club from Real Betis.
Meanwhile, Daichi Kamada is expected to arrive for free from Lazio, having previously worked with Glasner at Frankfurt.
