FOOTBALL star Christian Pulisic has been compared to basketball icon LeBron James after his brilliant goal in the men’s World Cup.
Pulisic scored after just three minutes with an excellent shot as the United States beat Bolivia 2-0 in Arlington, Texas.

It was just the start the USMNT wanted in their home tournament.
And fans were quick to praise captain Pulisic for his performance on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.
“THE LEBRON JAMES OF FOOTBALL,” said one fan.
“The American Messi,” said another fan.
“He’s a great player to watch,” said another fan.
“U.S. underdog for this tournament,” said a fourth fan.
“Good start, but they will have tougher opponents than this,” said a fifth fan,
Pulisic got the United States off to a perfect start with his goal and then set up a second for Folarin Balogun, who scored just before halftime.
US coach Gregg Berhalter praised Pulisic after the game.
“He’s an unselfish leader. He goes out and competes and works, works hard and that helps the team and then you add the fact that he’s highly skilled and can make plays on the offensive end and create chances on the offensive end.” Berhalter said.
“It’s a great combination, and what you see is him supporting his teammates, him supporting the guys, him pushing the guys.
“For me it was an excellent performance. He was voted the coach’s man of the match and it was well deserved.
“The message to the team is that it’s always important to win the first game.”
“We talked about progressing our performance, improving our performance throughout the tournament, so I think it was a good starting point.”

Midfielder Pulisic, 25, plays football in Italy for AC Milan.
He was at Chelsea in the English Premier League for four years.
He made his debut for the USA in 2016 and scored 30 goals in 69 appearances.
The USA will face CONCACAF rivals Panama in Atlanta on Thursday.
In the other game in the group, Uruguay beat Panama 3-1.
Ronald Araujo, Darwin Nunez and Matias Vina scored the goals that gave Uruguay a winning start.
