Connor Barron hopes becoming a “great player” for Rangers will allow him to fulfill his ambitions in Scotland.
The midfielder, who signed a pre-contract to join the Ibrox side from Aberdeen, has been capped 12 times at Under-21 level.
But the 21-year-old is in no rush to join Steve Clarke’s first team, believing proving himself at his new club will reap rewards in the future.
“My goal is to make the full team, it’s been an ambition of mine since I was a boy and that’s not going to change,” Barron said.
“Football speaks on the field, if you play you put yourself in the window to enter.
“It’s not my number one priority at the moment, my priority is focused on club football and performance there, but hopefully that will come in time.
“Now it’s time to do my part on the pitch and do everything every day to get into the team and be a great player for the club.”
