LEICESTER have held talks to sign Paraguayan right-back Ramon Sosa from Argentine side Talleres.
The Foxes have been chasing the powerful 24-year-old for weeks and recently met with his agents to discuss a deal worth around £15m.
Sosa came off the bench at the Copa América and is under pressure from all sides to go to the Prem.
Talleres is interested in the English top flight and will be sold for the right price.
He provided an assist during his recent Copa América appearance against Colombia, although his team lost 2-1.
The exciting star then played for 12 minutes in his team’s 4-1 defeat to Brazil.
He has made 21 club appearances so far this season.
The highly rated star scored seven goals and also provided six assists.
Leicester could lose midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall soon.
The 25-year-old was due to join Brighton but Chelsea scuttled the deal.

Leicester value Dewsbury-Hall at around £35 million and are under pressure to sell in order to comply with the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and avoid further breaches.
Dewsbury-Hall had his medical at Brighton scheduled this week – after the Seagulls offered £25m plus Polish international Jakub Moder.
The deal was far enough along for Moder to attend the Foxes’ Seagrave training ground for his own medical.
But Dewsbury-Hall has made a stunning U-turn in his choice to join Brighton in a bid to listen to Chelsea’s offer.
