Raphinha made the most of his debut in Brazil’s Group D against Colombia tonight, scoring a stunning free-kick to open the scoring inside the first 15 minutes.
The Barcelona player started as a surprise after Sávio won his place against Paraguay in the last Group D clash, scoring a goal with from him chance too.
But Raphinha didn’t take long to reward Dorival Júnior for his decision, sending a long-range free kick into the top corner.
The goal took Brazil past their opponents in the live standings, but Colombia equalized with almost the last kick of the half.
Raphinha could be useful in the possible quarter-finals for Brazil, as Vinicius Junior will miss the clash thanks to an early yellow card in the match.
