The United States men’s and women’s soccer team rosters have officially been retired, and the Cooligans (minus Alexis) are here to discuss how each team shapes up, including one notable omission and one controversial inclusion.

Christian Polanco joins guest host Christine Cupo of CBS Sports to talk about Diego Luna’s disappointment at being left out of the men’s team and why his desire not to be a substitute hampered the team’s bench options. They also address the addition of Korbin Albert to the women’s side following his controversial actions on social media.

Also in this episode, Christian and Christine recap all the latest action from the Copa América, including Canada making the United States look bad by advancing to the semi-finals after penalty kicks and Uruguay coach Marcelo Bielsa’s viral comments, after the match.

They then suffer the pressure that the English team faced in their clash with Switzerland, when the match had to be decided on penalties. They end the program by talking about the controversy surrounding San Diego Wave FC and president Jill Ellis following allegations of harassment and abuse within the NWSL club.
