CHELSEA signing Marc Guiu is set to leave immediately on loan at Sevilla, according to reports.
The 18-year-old striker sealed a £5m move from Barcelona earlier this month after the Blues triggered his release clause.
But although he has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with the option of a further 12 months, he may have to wait a while for his Chelsea debut as a loan move to Sevilla appears to be on the cards.
According to Mundo Deportivothe presence of Christopher Nkunku, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson in Enzo Maresca’s team makes it difficult to see Guiu getting many minutes.
The futures of Armando Broja, David Datro Fofana and Romelu Lukaku also hang in the balance upon their return from loans.
Sevilla appear to be interested in the teenager – who scored one goal in three LaLiga games last season.
The Spanish side could lose striker Youssef En-Nesyri this summer, with West Ham touted as a possible destination for the 27-year-old Moroccan.
And Guiu could be tasked with filling in as Sevilla look to bounce back from a disappointing 14th-place finish in LaLiga last season.
Guiu shared an emotional letter to Barcelona after his departure was confirmed.
The youngster, who joined the Catalan giants 11 years ago, posted on Instagram: “The truth is that I can only have words of thanks to the club that trained me.
