A member of Spanish national team security appears to have accidentally injured Álvaro Morata during celebrations for Spain’s arrival in the Euro final.
It comes after a pitch invader ran to try and take part in the Spanish team’s celebrations after beating France 2-1 in the semi-final.
Team security moved to try to stop the pitch invader, but then slipped, launching him into what appeared to be a slide tackle.
The contact looked ugly, with Morata’s leg appearing to get stuck in the grass.
Morata appeared to be in a lot of pain and was seen limping across the field as his teammates celebrated.
There are now concerns that the Spain captain will miss Sunday’s final.
He captained his team in the 2-1 victory over France tonight, which saw Lamine Yamal make history.
His wonderful strike, from 25 yards, drew Spain level after France had taken the lead.
It also made him the youngest goalscorer in Euro history, at 16 years and 362 days.
The strike means he has overtaken previous starter Johan Vonlanthen, who was 18 years and 141 days old when he scored for Switzerland at Euro 2004.
Morata was named captain of his national team before the tournament by Spain coach Luis De La Fuente.
