NACHO has gone viral for the last reason he wanted, after helping Spain reach the Euro 2024 final.
Even the former Real Madrid player himself may be embarrassed to see the images of his confrontation with Frenchman Randal Kolo Muani.
Nacho, 34, was filmed pushing his attacker’s head into the ground.
One fan labeled a photo of the frightening incident the “dirtiest football photo ever seen”.
Nacho, who joined Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah FC last month, had a fierce expression on his face.
One hand was on Kolo Muani’s head as the PSG star closed his eyes.
And Nacho’s other hand was raised as he prepared to push the 25-year-old’s head down.
“Outrageous,” said one fan, “while another called it “so wrong.”
Nacho was only called up to the Spanish national team to replace the suspended Robin Le Normand.
And the opening exchange – for which he got away with it – suggested he was keen to show he was still as intimidating a physical presence as ever.

However, Kolo Muani could not have dreamed of a better response.
He pounced to put France ahead just a minute later.
Unfortunately for him, Lamine Yamal scored a remarkable equalizer and became, at 16, the youngest goalscorer at any Euro.
Dani Olmo then scored the Spanish winning goal in the 25th minute.
But for Nacho, his team’s crazy joy at the end might be followed by some reflection of his own on his most shocking moment.
