And it now means Gareth Southgate’s side are on the verge of ending a 58-year title drought after securing back-to-back places in the Euro final.

However, to do so, England will have to defeat Spain which caused pre-tournament favorites France to be eliminated from the tournament.

Furthermore, La Roja has won every match so far and will likely finish Euro 2024 as top scorer.

But form goes down the drain when it comes to the final, and the Three Lions will be determined to make amends for what happened at Euro 2020.

Both teams achieved great results, with Spain probably the more impressive of the two.

Luis de la Fuente’s men are the only team to win every match, thanks to new stars like Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal.

They eliminated giants like Italy, Germany and France, with unsung heroes like Marc Cucurella and Fabian Ruiz taking the lead.

On the other hand, England relied on late goals to defeat opponents such as Slovakia and the Netherlands.

Although they needed penalties to get past Switzerland.

But after scoring all five penalties, England will not be afraid to go to penalties once again.

What is their shape like?

Spain and England are on the rise, despite having topped the Euros in different ways.

The former have won every match so far – the only team to do so.

Spain kept a clean sheet in the group stage as they beat Croatia, Italy and Albania.

They then knocked out Georgia before knocking out hosts Germany in the quarters.

And Spain showed their worth with a 2-1 victory over France, guaranteeing their place in Sunday’s final.

As for England, they only achieved one victory in the group stage when they defeated Serbia 1-0.

The Three Lions drew with Denmark and Slovenia before drawing in the round of 16 with Slovakia.

England were 90 seconds away from elimination before Jude Bellingham equalized with a header.

Harry Kane then scored the winning goal in extra time, sending England into the quarter-finals with Switzerland.

The game went to penalties after finishing 1-1.

But England made no penalty errors, scoring five and conceding just three.

They then beat the Netherlands 2-1 in the semi-finals thanks to a wonderful goal from Ollie Watkins in the 89th minute.

And fans are dreaming of making up for their Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy by securing victory in Berlin this weekend.

What’s new with the team?

Gareth Southgate will be tempted to start semi-final hero Ollie Watkins after the 90th-minute winner over the Netherlands.

And Luke Shaw will also strive to start ahead of Kieran Trippier, who has struggled at left-back.

Elsewhere, Luis de la Fuente is set to bring Real Madrid legend Dani Carvajal and midfield maestro Robin Le Normand back into the mix after both missed France’s victory due to suspensions.

Álvaro Morata is also expected to start, despite being eliminated by a security guard during celebrations of Spain’s victory in the semi-finals.

Who will be the star men?

Both teams have many magnificent players.

But Sunday is sure to become a repeat of El Clasico, with Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and England’s Jude Bellingham ready to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

What did the managers say?

Gareth Southgate: “It’s not as simple as having the ball and making them run.

“They press very, very well, so we will have to be exceptional with the ball and we will have to be exceptional without it. It’s a final, so you expect it to be like that. They have been the better team. We are starting to show a better version of ourselves.

“The extra day [of rest for Spain] It’s a concern, in recent tournaments this has been a problem for the finalists. We have to do the best we can to recover the players in the best possible way.

“We won’t be at the training camp, it’s simple. We will be going over things or handing things over in meetings, it was the same thing for this game, but we are there and with what we have shown to this point, we have the same chance as them.”

Luis de la Fuente: “Before the tournament started, England and France would be favorites, as would Germany due to the fact that they would play at home.

“We had the chance to continue to overcome these games [against the favourites] and now we have another great match. Perhaps Spain have offered a better version so far in the finals [than England]but this will have no influence on a one-off game.

“England have quality players who can appear at any time. We face a very powerful team full of experience, not only at national team level, but also at club level.

“But we’re looking forward to this one. We want to keep growing. This group of players will keep fighting to try and win the trophy.”
