That’s because the Red Devils’ rookie already has a familiar face to help him adapt, explaining that he studied with one of his new teammates.

Zirkzee completed a £42m move from Bologna last week, signing a five-year contract with the Manchester club.

The Dutch international will join former schoolmate Tyrell Malacia at United.

Zirkzee revealed to Man Utd’s official media that he studied with the full-back, long before either of them started their Premier League careers.

Malacia, 23, and Zirkzee, 24, may not be in the same year during their studies, but they certainly seem to know each other well.

When asked if he already knew any of his new teammates, Zirkzee said, “I went to school with Tyrell Malacia, so I’ve known him for a long time.”

Although Zirkzee was shy about revealing any secrets from his school days, simply responding “nice guy” when asked about what Malacia was like in class.

Fans were stunned by the revelation that two of their stars went to school together, taking to social media to react.

One wrote: “This is crazy! Imagine playing in the biggest club in the world with your schoolmates!”

Zirkzee is Man Utd’s first arrival this summer, marking the start of a new era under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

While the club today announced its second new addition.

Leny Yoro, 19, has left Lille to sign for United – signing a deal to keep him in Manchester until 2029.

And the young centre-back even snubbed Real Madrid in favor of a move to the Premier League.

However, Erik ten Hag’s new recruits didn’t arrive without a few names heading for the exit door.

It was also announced this evening that Mason Greenwood has permanently left the club to join French giants Marseille.

The Ligue 1 side signed the striker to a five-year contract in a transfer worth up to £30 million.
