SANDRO TONALI is counting down the seconds until he returns to Newcastle – and some fans are speculating he is doing it in some style.

In fact, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the £210,000-a-week Italian midfielder appears to be wearing a blue Richard Mille Rafael Nadal watch.

And it could have cost the 24-year-old star more than half a month’s salary if that was the case.

Newcastle were left shaken when they were handed a 10-month ban for breaching betting regulations, just 12 weeks after joining from AC Milan for £55m last year.

Now, having attended rehab to help his self-confessed gambling addiction, the end of that is in sight with Tonali’s ban on August 27.

Tonali will be free to return to the Premier League in front of the Sky Sports cameras against Tottenham on Sunday 1 September.

But he could also take part in Toon’s yet-to-be-drawn Carabao Cup second round on August 27 or 28 in his first official match.

Time is ticking for him, and he can watch the agonizing final countdown on his incredible watch.

He was in Germany this week with the rest of Eddie Howe’s squad for a pre-season trip.

The club made a point of sharing several photos from the camp – including those of Tonali.

One of them showed the former Milan man riding a bicycle, while another captured him holding a boot.

And in both he wore a watch that looked a lot like the Richard Mille model.

In this case, the purchase costs a staggering £448,480 – and shipping costs alone will set you back an eye-watering £85,786.

Fans were quick to spot his expensive and stylish watch in the photos and wasted no time commenting on it on X.

Although one fan hysterically joked, “I’m going to make the baby a ‘Sandro, can I have your watch plate’ on the back of a cornflake box.”
