WEST HAM are in talks to sign N’Golo Kante, according to reports.
The midfielder could return to the Premier League a year after leaving Chelsea.
He joined Al-Ittihad on a contract worth £86m a year and is believed to be happy to Saudi Arabia.
But West Ham are keen to give him another chance in the Prem after he impressed for France at the Euro 2024.
And according to The Guardian the Hammers are in talks to sign Kante, who could cost around £20 million.
West Ham are interested in signing a defensive midfielder after opting not to Kalvin Philips‘ loan moves permanent.
Coach Julen Lopetegui is said to be a long-time admirer of Kante, 33.
He wanted to sign Aleix Garcia, but the midfielder chose to sign for Bayer Leverkusen.
However, Loptegui got a key target at Wolves defender Max Kilman, while Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham also signed.
Kante would add a wealth of experience at the London Stadium, having won two Premier League titles.
