Former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino thinks his former team should SELL Enzo Fernandez.

The Argentine star is in trouble after filming himself and his teammates singing a racist and vile song about the French national team.

Fernandez received a huge backlash over the clip, with several Chelsea stars unfollowing him on social media

Wesley Fofana even took to the Internet to attack “uninhibited racism”.

And SunSport understands the Blues face a huge divide in the dressing room ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Fernandez has since apologized for his involvement in the offensive corners.

But it remains to be seen whether he can make peace with his friends at Chelsea, including the club’s large contingent of French stars.

And former Stamford Bridge ace Cascarino reckons Fernandez has left the Blues with little choice but to sell him.

He feels Fernandez’s comments will forever keep him separated from the rest of the locker room.

And despite paying a then-record £105 million to sign the World Cup winner 18 months ago, Chelsea should reduce their losses for the sake of team unity.

Cascarino told talkSPORT: “It’s going to be complicated. I remember when I was at Chelsea in the 90s and I’m not sure the dressing room would accept what Enzo Fernandez did.

“This is complicated to deal with. I think Chelsea have made an important decision about whether they will actually keep Enzo Fernandez.

“Having players unhappy with a guy in the locker room, I’m not sure there’s going to be many who feel comfortable with some of the things that happened.

“There is no excuse for this to come out. It won’t go down well with the other players, will it?

“I don’t know how you can deal with it because there will be players who won’t be able to forgive. There may be some who are able to move on despite not liking what happened.

“You don’t need everyone to like each other at a club, but this is a very, very complicated issue. Some players won’t want to move forward or make it work.”

But Cascarino reckons there could be one last way for Fernandez to get back into Chelsea’s good books.

He added: “He will also have to apologize to the team in person and maybe then there will be a little more forgiveness.”
