Striker Sion Bradley says the New Saints will “give it a good chance” when they face Hungarian side Ferencvaros in the Champions League qualifiers.
Cymru Premier champions Saints booked their place in the second qualifying round with a 4-1 victory over Montenegro’s FK Decic.
Craig Harrison’s team will be in Budapest for the first leg, Tuesday, against the Hungarian champions
“It’s going to be a challenge against them,” Bradley said.
“We know that three of their players played for Hungary at the Euros.
“I’m sure we will all do our homework and prepare as best we can for the game and give it a good chance.”
Goalkeeper Dénes Dibusz, defender Endre Botka and striker Barnabás Varga were part of the Hungarian squad for Euro 2024.
Varga fractured his cheekbone in a collision with Scottish goalkeeper Angus Gunn during Hungary’s 1-0 victory in Stuttgart.
The 29-year-old player underwent successful surgery and after being discharged from hospital returned home to Hungary.
Varga said he will have “a few weeks off” to “focus on recovery.”
Saints progressed to the second qualifying round after beating Decic – winning 3-0 in the first leg at Park Hall before drawing 1-1 in Montenegro.
“We knew it was going to be a different game and it was really hot,” Bradley added.
“It was about 40 degrees outside in the afternoon and still about 30 degrees at night for the game.
“But we made sure we saw the game out.
“We got that goal early on and it was just a matter of defending the area and moving on to the next stage.”
Bradley joined the Saints in the summer from Caernarfon Town after a campaign in which he won the Cymru Premier player of the season award and scored Wales C’s winning goal against England.
The 26-year-old has made the step into full-time football at Saints, the only fully professional club in the Cymru Premier.
“I’m enjoying it,” Bradley told BBC Radio Cymru’s Ar y Marc programme.
“Going out and playing football every day is totally different to what I’m used to.
“But I’m really enjoying it and adapting well.”
