Wales squad member Josie Longhurst has joined Vancouver Whitecaps after leaving Reading FC Women.

Longhurst, 22, is uncapped by the senior national team, having been called up to the Wales squad for the first time as an 18-year-old in 2020.

The midfielder was recently part of the Wales squad for the Nations League games against Germany and Denmark last October.

Reading will play in the fifth tier of English football next season following the club’s withdrawal from the Championship.

Vancouver Whitecaps play in Canada’s League1 BC.
